Year in Review 2013

I'm forever falling behind on my blog. Crazy behind. I'm always just barely getting through photo editing and the business stuff falls behind. So to show that I haven't just been twiddling my thumbs here all year long….here is a slideshow with photos from each family session and event from 2013 in order for them to all make an appearance. Goodness knows I'll never get around to blogging them all as I always hope to.

Birthday Buddy! {Houston Heights Newborn Photography}

I can’t tell you how excited I was for this newborn session.  Not only was this little guy born on my birthday, but this family was my very first client after moving back to Houston early last year.  A mere 4 days after flying in from NY, before I even had a chance to buy a car, I was covering big brother’s adorable 2^nd birthday party.  In the fall we did announcements for them expecting a second little one and then here we were in May with his arrival!  And the icing on the cake is this is one of the nicest, most loving families in the world.  Truly a joy in every way :)

While baby brother was feeding, big brother got his turn in the spotlight and was nice enough to show me around.  Such a sweetie! :)

Lovely Ladies {Woodlands Family Photography}

I love these gals.  Sweet, fun and oh so adorable!  We had a lovely and quiet morning session.  Except for the ducks who photo bombed us...which I gladly welcomed :)  Big sis was so into it that she even asked if she could take some pictures too.  My heart be still.  I gladly gave her my backup camera and loved watching her in action.  She got her own little gallery of photos and they weren't too bad I must say!  Keep clicking little one! :) Thanks for a fun morning girls! 

Bright Eyes {Houston Heights Newborn Photography}

This baby girl has the most beautiful, big, bright eyes that I've seen on a newborn.   They are really showcased in my favorite shot which you can see on this link.  You can see that she gets them from her beautiful momma.  This session was so relaxed, simple and charming.  I love to incorporate the family's home in my sessions and this one was particularly important as they were soon to move and embark on a new journey across the world. Best of luck to this wonderful family, they will be missed!

And I even had the chance to snap a few of grandma and baby.  Love.

Top Model {The Woodlands, TX Family Photography}

Oh my goodness, this little lady knows how to work a camera!  I barely had to give her any prompts at all, she came up with ideas, and spots to pose and was so into the whole thing...made my job super easy!  Thanks for a fun session gals!

A Strawberry Social Birthday Party! {Houston, TX Birthday Party Photography}

This cutie pie is one lucky gal.  Her mom did such an amazing job with her 2nd birthday party this spring - just as she did the year before, and I'm sure for years to come :)  Such adorable details for a fun Strawberry Social!  It was such a perfect party with great weather and a wonderful group of guests.  Lucky little girl indeed!  ...and I sure am missing that nice spring weather we had now that we're in the thick of the summer heat!

Sweet Little Dear {Sugarland, TX Newborn Photography}

This baby girl was such a dream.  She was a perfect little sleeper and just as adorable as can be.  And how cute is the pic of the little one with daddy's glove and ball.  Love a personal touch, makes a picture priceless.  Sweet family, sweet baby!
