After the Rain {Houston, TX Family Photographer}

This session took place on a very rainy day.  Had it been any other session, we probably would have had to re-schedule to prevent the whole family getting all dressed up, only to have to call it off.  But since this family IS family, it made those logistics a little easier.  This was during the very busy Fall holiday session time, so there wasn't much room to re-schedule.  I was at my sister and brother-in-law's house and we watched as the rain fell most of the afternoon.  Finally, it cleared up a bit, so everyone quickly changed and we hopped in the car in hopes it would hold out.  But on the drive to the Arboretum, it started to rain buckets again.  We waited in the car, and it let up a bit so we dashed out to start the session before the rain came again.  And boy did we luck out, not only was the Arboretum totally empty but the colors were perfect and we didn't have to hunt for shade to shoot in.  Little man's knees got a little wet and dirty, but all part of the fun!

Lil' Buckaroo's! Rodeo Photo Booth {Houston Heights, TX Children Photographer}

I had SO much fun taking photos of these little buckaroo's!  Everyone was so cute in their rodeo outfits, I was so impressed with the variety of adorable cowboy and cowgirl outfits!  Thanks to everyone who came out and to my whole family for all their help!

Hearts {Houston Heights, TX Newborn Photographer}

This sweet little man has an awesome nursery that mom and dad put together for him.  I instantly loved the gorgeous art work with a heart above his crib.  But it wasn't until I was editing the photos from the session that I noticed hearts popping up elsewhere.  In the rug, in the shadows, those cute little lips of course.  But even mom and dad perfectly fell into heart shaped poses without any sort of direction.  Love is all around this lovely family! 

And who doesn't love a good stink eye ;)

Cake Time! {Houston, TX Family Photographer}

There was a very special occasion centered around this sweet family session...someone turned one!  How hysterical and yet incredible adorable is the photo of the happy older siblings chowing down on their sister's cake as she has a meltdown behind them.  Aww memories :)  Such a cute family!

Fall Magic {Houston, TX Family Photographer}

I loved everything about this session - the colors, the family, the perfect leaves to throw around and for the kiddos to have fun in!  And how I love these natural, tender moments that sometimes just *happen* - magic. 

Learning IS Fun!

I recently attended a photography workshop held by the lovely and talented Michele Anderson of Pinkle Toes Photography.  I learned a ton, met some amazing ladies and had such a wonderful experience!  I'm looking forward to implementing some new and fun things this year!  Below are some images from the workshop - some are pull backs and some directly of the families.  In order are: headshots of us taken by Michele, a family/newborn session with a gorgeous family who welcomed us all with tiaras (love!), an outdoor family session, and lastly are shots of various "models" at different stations taken with our assigned partners (mine was Kami from Kami Friday Photography - so fun!)  I didn't want this workshop to end :(  Michele, you rock!  Miss all you lovely ladies!

Hugs & Kisses {Houston Heights, TX Newborn Photographer}

This super sweet big brother LOVES to hug, he completely and totally melts my heart.  He's going to be one amazing brother to this new little bundle!  Happiness just exudes from this wonderful family.  Love it!
